Angle of Repose Shawl

Make Your Own eBook
In geology, the angle of repose refers to the steepest slope defined by piling a granular material without it slumping. In Wallace Stegner’s novel with that title, it’s a metaphor for the ways that our lives attain stasis, however precarious.
This asymmetrical triangle shawl has an angled wedge of pebbly mesh fanning gently along one selvedge. With no definitive right and wrong sides, it’s easy to knit and easier to wear.
Shown in a gradient, it would work equally well in a speckle or semi-solid.
